Dec. 21, 2012: Why the World Won’t End?

Are you waiting Dec. 21, 2012? Or else you are preparing yourself for the greatest disaster? Please be 100% sure nothing disastrous will occur. This is what NASA says, “Dec. 21, 2012, won’t be the end of the world as we know, however, it will be another winter solstice.”

Winter Solstice: The winter solstice is the solstice that occurs in winter. It is the time at which the Sun is appearing at noon at its lowest altitude above the horizon. In the Northern Hemisphere this is the Southern solstice, the time at which the Sun is at its southernmost point in the sky, which usually occurs on December 21 to 22 each year. For the rumor of Mayan Calender, NASA said:
Just as the calendar you have on your kitchen wall does not cease to exist after December 31, the Mayan calendar does not cease to exist on December 21, 2012. This date is the end of the Mayan long-count period but then — just as your calendar begins again on January 1 — another long-count period begins for the Mayan calendar.
